The Roots - Right On (Ft Joanna Newsom)

Blue: The Roots have always been a remarkable band. But with their current gig as Jimmy Fallons house band I kind of lost interest in a way. I guess they made this album to prove they still got it. This track just jumped out from the rest. I'm a fan of Joanna Newsom, so when I heard that she was on this I quickly fast forward to this track. It doesn't disappoint. Classic Hip Hop sampling and solid verses made this one of my favorite tracks this summer.

Best Coast - Crazy For You

Pink: I love this band. I love this song. Noise pop has never sounded so glorious and so sweet.

Blue: First time I ever heard Best Coast was on that track she did with Kid Cudi And the dude from Vampire Weekend. I need to start trusting your musical tastes dude, cause this is fucking awesome. Ive had it on repeat all this Sunday Morning.

Big Boi - Turns Me On Ft Sleepy Brown & Joi

Pink: Outkast rappers debut solo album Sir Lucious Left Foot does not disappoint in the slightest. Fun as hell, as one would expect from a member of hip-hop legends Outkast. This track is so good. Production is infectious and his verse's are exactly what you'd come to expect from such a gifted MC

Blue: I have to admit I havent listened to Sir Lucious Left Foot in it's entirety, and I'm probably missing out. With that being said, every track I have heard off of Big Boi's second solo album (Speakerboxx... ahem ahem) has been amazing. Shutterbug played in heavy rotation around here as well as the gem that didnt make it on the album "lookin for ya" featuring Andre 3K. Great song, great album, I guess I'm stupid for not copping this album yet.

Robyn - Dancehall Queen

Pink: This track is at least a month old by now but i feel the need to champion it. Taken from the album/ep Body Talk Vol 1 this cut is so infectious it almost feels like a disease. Sounding at first like standard Swedish pop this might not grab you straight away but you'll be finding yourself humming, not the melody, but the slick, bouncy production by revered DJ/producer Diplo

Katy Perry - California Gurls (Inner Party System Rmx)

Pink: I've never been a fan of Katy Perry and do you know what? i'm still not. I am, however, a fan of a good remix and this is exactly that. Let it get going and if you're not dancing in your chair then i'm a seals dick

Hot Chip - I Feel Better

Blue: My friend Amy posted this one video on her Facebook that was just fucking bizarre yet amazing. I was familiar with Hot Chip for a while but never thought they would crank out a song quite like this one. It sounds kinda dancehall-ey. As a bonus you should definitely check out the video.

Pink: Sorry to break up the post like this. I've never been much of a Hot Chip fan outside of a couple of tracks. I like this. I like it quite a bit actually. The use of strings might not be as effective as, say, Kelley Polar but this a catchy and intense song. Colour me pleasently surprised.

EDIT: just want to point out that i'm aware those are not real strings

Miike Snow - Animal (Punks Jump Up Remix)

Blue: Lately I've been using my friend's Dj set-up to learn to mix. Every trip I take down to his place I take some mp3's i find to see if they sound good to mix in. This remix is probably my favorite track to play. It's just a really fun song and I cant get it out of my head.
