Jeff Buckley - Everybody Here Wants You

Blue: I know I might get a lot of shit for this but I dont care. Jeff Buckley was an amazing talent who's life ended too shortly. Even with only one Album out and one in the making you could see he was destined for something great. Sketches of my sweetheart the drunk shows him making his way into a more soulful sound. Everybody Here wants You Clearly sounds like something that would be played on an R&B station. Im a sucker for Sweet love songs, and this is no exception.

Ryan Leslie - Promise Not 2 Call

Pink: This song has been out there for a while but i'm posting it now as it seems it's getting an official release as a bonus track on Leslies forthcoming album Transition. It's typical Leslie really, which fans will already know, is a smooth sound reminiscent of early Neptunes and is filled with infectious hooks that won't leave your head for days.

Blue: Man, Ryan Leslie wont stop until he's the G.O.A.T. This dude is a beast with beats and can also hold a tune. I also really enjoyed this track before the album release. I'm prolly gonna piss you off with this next comment Pink, but I think I prefer Ryan Leslie Production over The Dream.

Cheryl Cole Ft Will.I.Am - 3 Words

Pink: I really didn't expect to like this album and to be honest i didn't at first. It seemed tired and a bit bland. However i gave it a couple more listens and it really opened up for me. The melodies are nice and, contrary to my original impression, they sound fresh. It really reminds me of late 90's r'n'b melodically and the music is almost a low-key mix of the current synth trend and late 90's Timbland esque drum lead beats. If you're expecting Girls Aloud then you're gonna be disappointed and if you're expecting vapid X-Factor trash then you're also gonna be disappointed. Just give it a (couple of) listen(s) and see what you think

EDIT: I should say that the impressions i posted were of the whole album. This track is actually more of a cold, synth lead floor filler, the like of which you usually see when a pop artist is trying to achieve some credibility. it works

Blue: That pic....O_O. Its so weird that Will.I.Am reminds me of Finlay Quaye. But this is far from being a club filler. Until a good remix of this comes out, it cant propel people to the dancefloor easily by itself.

Johnny Foreigner - Ghost The Festivals

Pink: Man i love this band. So much energy and so much fun. Taken from the forthcoming Grace and the bigger Picture this is typical exciting fare for JoFo, meaning barked male and female vocals over some of the most energetic punk/brit-pop guitar you'll hear this year. Not bad for a band from the talentless black-hole that is Birmingham, UK.

Blue: Why does this remind me of Maximo Park? why? I dunno but I've always enjoyed songs like these. You can actually feel the energy these guys put on this record. I guess that's why the remind me of Maximo Park both have really energetic sounding records. Good stuff.

The Dears - Lost In The Plot

Blue: Many years ago when I was gradually letting go of hip hop because of the lack of creativity a friend of mine gave me a cd with a bunch of music I had never heard before. On this CD lay this beautiful song.
"Take me for drive to the coastline
Pull me to the depths of the sea
Leave me in the middle of the ocean
I can walk the rest of the way"

Cmon', with those lines who needs Morrissey?

Pink: Dude sounds like Damon Albarn. In fact the whole song sounds like late Blur. Pleasant enough

The Beach Boys - Darlin'

Pink: I'm going for something a little different this time. This is probably my favourite Beach Boys song and consequently one of my favourites songs of all time. Written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love this song only peaked at 19 in the US charts and 11 in the UK charts, to say this is an underrated classic would be fair. Just listen, this is one of the best bands and of their best songs doing soul like no other white artist was doing at the time.

Blue: This song, is awesome, replayed this 4x's and I love this. It's kinda hard for these white dudes to do Soul, but beach boys pulled it off like it was nothing.

Dead Man's Bones - In The Room Where You Sleep

Blue: Such a great sound from these 2 guys. I'm really glad i found this cause i havent stopped listening to this song since. It sort of reminds me of the Munsters theme, but way more awesome.
